RFK Jr. and the MAHA movement to ban synthetic color additives: Parts 1 & 2 with David Schoneker

I recently did a Podcast for Processing Magazine on the issues related to the Synthetic and Natural Colors. Part 1 was posted about two weeks ago where I talked about the safety of synthetic colors and why there is no scientific justification to support a ban of these colors or to force companies to change to natural colors unless they see a market benefit. Here is a link to Part 1 of the Podcast:

RFK Jr. and the MAHA movement to ban synthetic color additives: Part 1, with David Schoneker | Processing Magazine

I wanted to also provide the following link to Part 2 of my Podcast that just published last week.

In this Podcast, I tried to bring forward the facts related to the significant technical and supply chain challenges and risks that exist if there were to be a ban on the synthetic colors and everyone tried to move to natural colors in a short period of time. There is no way this is even possible if everyone wanted to do this. However, as I said above there is no scientific justification based on safety or hyperactivity which would support such a ban, and I suspect a ban would not stand up in court.

Please grab a cup of coffee and sit down for a bit and listen to the facts related to this discussion about the synthetic colors if you are interested in this topic! Here’s the link to Part 2:
